State Publications & Records Task Force (SPRTF)
On September 30, 2005, the NAAL Advisory Council created a state publications and records task force to address tasks involving improving access to and digital preservation of Alabama state publications. The work of the task force has continued through 2007 and now into 2008. NAAL recently approved a grant for the Auburn University at Montgomery Library to test the OCLC Digital Archive Toolbox during FY2007-2008. The Task Force will assess this method to improve the ability to archive, catalog, and make Alabama state information publicly available.
The purpose of this wiki is to allow the members of SPRTF to collaborate on accomplishing these tasks, as well as allow other interested persons to follow the progress of the committee's work. SPRTF members are allowed to make changes to the pages in this wiki and add comments. If others wish to recommend changes or have comments added to this wiki, email task force chair Diann Weatherly at dweather@uab.edu (or contact other committee members who can consider the changes or comments for inclusion).
